Just checking. Who's excited that we're coming back? Who's been
checking the board? Who hasn't been posting?
Love you people.

Hey--
Great show last night! Lots of interesting stuff. Lots of new
people in the audience. The show was short by our usual
standards but we still had 10 pieces or so, and that's not too
bad after a hiatus. I'm excited about the next show. And I
really like working in the big theatre. More possibilities will
hopefully mean more creative pieces in the future. My favorites
were the films and the drinkin', smokin' yoga teacher (is there
more to that piece, Taylor?)
And thanks to all who celebrated Ratgirl's birthday afterward.
It was a lot of fun. You No Shamers are some of the few people
in the Austin theatre scene who understand and appreciate the
kind of art Ratgirl bravely creates. Keep the Ratgirl love
flowing--maybe with time it'll spread to those less
understanding people we all know to exist.
Amie

Hey No Shame gang-
Sorry I've been remiss in getting the order from last week up
here. It's coming soon. I've just been busy with a couple of
shows, one of which is my own personal FronteraFest piece-Gnap
Number One. It goes up tonight at 8 at Hyde Park Theatre. It has
a real No Shame vibe to it. Lots o'wackiness.
I hope you can make it.
Order coming soo, I promise. But you guys can always post orders
and reviews on your own as well.
And yes, it was a really fun show on Saturday. Hats off to
everyone involved.

By the way, I'm doing some intentionally bad stand-up comedy in
this Long Fringe piece called Mass Maximum.
I'm in the first half of the show, called Road Rage. It's a
piece choreographed and put together by Caroline Sutton (who did
dating sucks way back when, walking on eggs).
The other half, When Brenda Met Barbara, or something like that,
is choreographed by Ellen Bartel and features 20 women in their
underwear, high heels and weird black make-up on their faces.
Very cool piece. I'm not in that part.
Come check it out.

Once again it was fun to be a part of No Shame. It was my
roommate's first exposure, and she was impressed. We just moved
in to our house so I thought a great way to start off would be
to dress her up in a monkey mask and rice-paddy hat, tie xmas
lights around her, and have her play violin in front of all
these strangers! She responded quite nicely. She had a great
time and is already thinking of her next No Shame piece. I was
impressed by all the newbies in the audience.
