totally into driving up here to see a summer No Shame. Any
other takers?

Yeah buddy, as far as I know, NST is still at 10:00. Damn
theatre! Why can't they learn how to schedule better? Anyway, you
could go see a dress rehearsal of the Collab show at 6:30
Thursday Night. If you do happen to see it on Friday, just
remember that usually there is a 5-minute hold and tack on some
time for announcements and after is all said and done the first
act will perform at about 10:15.

Hope that helps yo diggity dog,

Did you ever see da movie Spaceballs where John Candy said he was

Welcome no shamers, distingushed members of the press, ladies and
gentlemen...

The article about No Shame is supposed to be in this Thursday's
Courier... we're in a special section (you know, the one that no
one will probably ever read... ever).

FYI... hoping Woz and my underwear-clothes asses are pictured
prominently.

If we had known about the collaborative process time earlier, we
could have fixed the situation. unfortunately, they pushed their
time back (originally it was at 9), after we had done the
interview with the courier and other advertising. plus, since it
is going to be in Russell Hall now (RUSSELL HALL, EVERYBODY
NOTE!!) we will be starting late to make sure that anybody
confused will not be confused and in their rightful space. so
look for a 10:15 start time.

SO, for everyone involved with that, please still come. if you
are going to be late and performing, let us know so that we can
plan. if youre not there at start time, we will be nervous and
plug an alternate act in there.

article, and I have no pants on. Oh, I wouldn't reccomend
chekcing the library, though, because their copy may have

If any of you would like to hang out after the show, I will be
hosting a little after-party. Of course, it may a big after-
party. That of course, is up to you. If you wish to so so, it
will be BYOB. Or if you are a hard drinker, BYOHL. Also, BYODB,
because I do not have enough dead babies for everybody. Of
course, only if you find them (say in a dumpster or in a mother)
because I, for one, do not condone the slaughter of children.
THAT would be in poor taste.

From: howzi@hotmail.com
Time: Sun, 05-May-2002 18:32:22 GMT IP: 24.149.21.150

Is it really possible to review a best of show? Let me preface
this by saying that I thought the show was great. I couldn't
think of a better way to go out than having 16 great acts and
220 people in the audience. When I look back at where we
started, my jaw just drops.

:1. Howard Zimmerle--A Non-Drinking PSA (Howard Z, Jesse
Wozniak,
Luke Pingel, Neil Van Gorder, Josh Fitkin, Kate Melloy)
Mike Collet was in this too, and I think his acting, as well as
everyone elses helped make this skit funnier.
2. Keith Baedke--Plump (Keith B)
This was great to have for some variety... plus the audience
really got a kick out of it.
3. Q and Aaron Konigsmark--Fortune Cookies (Q and Aaron K)
This was easily Q's best work.
4. Elysia Hansel--Little Date Sestina and A Poem for Laura
I am sick of rape poetry...I think it's cheap. It plays on
emotions that are already there. It's a softball... it's not
like there's a way to be pro-rape, unless you're a rapist. I
liked a poem for Laura a lot, as I think it must have really
made that waitress's day.
5. Neil Van Gorder--The Greatest Treasure of the Whole Fair (NVG)
Still funny as hell, and the addition of the hair gel thing was
good.
6. Grant Tracey--Dragonflies (Grant T)
Great imagery in this story. I also liked the tie in of hockey,
dragonflies, etc.
7. 4th Grade Memory #27A--by Tim Pieper (Tim P, Shawn Rohret,
"OW, my hand!" "Bullseye!"
8. Dave Murray--Deconstruction (Dave M)
One of my favorite alltime pieces here at no shame. Many people
I talked to didn't get it at all, but they must not have been
paying attention. Excellent delivery too.
9. Josh Fitkin--Fresh Scents (Josh F)
I liked this version better than the last. Very funny and good
character.
10. Pete Feltman--Untitled (Pete F)
What can I say? I like Pete's stuff.
11. Sarah Zwick-Tapley--Petra Pan (Sarah Z-T)
I had never seen this before... pretty damned funny. Maybe used
too much energy at times.
12. Katie Frederick-Schector--Open Synecdoche and Crazy Stoopid
I didn't understand the first one at all, but the second one was
bueno!
13. Jesse Wozniak--A Seduction (Woz, Chelsea Lechwar)
Went a little long since the addition of the stripping, but was
still very humerous.
14. Josh Goodrich--Domino's Pizza Challenge (Josh G, Becca
Becca has always been like a little sister to me, so I tried
really hard not to enjoy seeing her in a bikini. If Josh wants
to try this again, he would be well advised to drink some water
and give himself an extra minute or two.
15. Jeff Lenhart--The Little Titanic (Jeff L)
I thought this was going to be a one-piece stand when he first
came to No Shame. Now I realize that this is just one of his
average pieces. Great talent here.
16. Luke Pingel--Jerky for the Brain (Luke P)
Excellent stray from the norm. Good mix of humor and seriousness.

Sweet-ass show. I get all misty-eyed just thinking about the
greatness that is No Shame. We did come a really long way
from having, what, like 40 people in the audience? No
Shame has become bigger than any of us, and I'm now
confident that it could survive without any of the current
regulars, which is hella cool. I have to apologize on the
length of my play, as I didn't know it would take so long to
strip. Plus, I had no clue that dollar bill was coming, so I
hadn't factored it in. Anyhoo, thanks for a great year
everyone. I love you all, and I can't wait for summer Shame.

Word to your mother.

P.S. Goodrich, I have your CD, which leads me to believe
that you have my CD. If you'd like to get together to have
some bizzare CD-swapping party, I'd swing like that. Get a
hold of me, please. Thanks.

Luke and I talked about having a No Shame session at least once a
month in the summer.

Preferably near the end of every month, since in August we should
be able to have our first Fall No Shame.

Also talked with Q tonite and Luke and I discussed this as well:
How much interest is there in making NoShame every week next
year? If we could get a minimum of ten scripts every Friday
nite, I think we could do No Shame every week. Some day someone
is going to have to risk doing No Shame every week so why not
now?

Hey, I agree that sooner or later we're going to have to try a
weekly Shame, I just wonder if Cedar Falls is ready for that
sort fo thing. For me, I think it's better to have it bi-weekly with
a big audience, than weekly with a pathetically small and
impotent audience. Or maybe that's just my own personal
insecurties showing through. Who knows. What does
everyone else think?

noshame is a good thing and thus should happen as little as

Hello,
I was very glad to have the opportunity to perform at No Shame
Theatre this year.

Even more, I was glad to see so many amazing performances and so
much creativity. Also, I will miss the people who are leaving
this year.

Gosh, it was fun to see some of the great moments from the No
Shame season last Friday. I was glad no one fell off the stage.
I wanted to have pools of sharks on each side of the protruding
portion of the stage for my performance, but there was a problem
getting the water to stay in a pool shape without walls (water
is very fluid unless it is frozen). Oh yeah, also I didn't have
any sharks (that I could spare, anyways).

I look forward to future No Shame Events.

Sincerely,
Jeff Lenhart

Hey, I'm speaking as a sort of outsider here, but that could be
just what you need! The buzz I've been hearing is great, and a
weekly No Shame could happen. I take new people all the time,
and they often ask why ISN'T it weekly. So, I think it would
work. There, that's my two cents.

Wow, the Best of No Shame was RI-GOD-DAMN-DICULOUSLY SERIOUS,
MEANINGFUL, FUNNY AND WELL PERFORMED! Never have I felt happier to
be a part of the show. That many people showing that much talent
with an amazing audience made my week. Especially since I may or
may not be retaking some of my classes because of finals. It has
been great getting to know the No shamers better and I hope people
don't mind if I am in it next year. Oh and by the way somebody
give my email address to the wonderful woman who talked about
