Charlotte--in the decade and a half I've been doing this, you
might be the first one to make me blush.
Look forward to seeing what happens on that fast approaching

Virginny Shame NB Campbell 5:38 am sunday april 15, 2001
Hey! I'm on the executive board of the Iowa City No Shame, but
I'm from Virginia! How about that? I was raised mostly in
Fairfax, VA, but I decided to go the University of Iowa for
college-type schooling! I have many friends @ UVA. I have told
them about No Shame in the past and maybe they will go to it now
that it is in their hometown (or college town or what-have-you).
I hope they do! Good luck!
Break a Leg! Shannon McCormick 2:53 pm wednesday april 25, 2001
Hello Todd and future Charlottesville No Shamers,
Best of luck this week! No Shame Austin has had two shows now
and things have gone very well. One night we almost filled the
docket and our last show we actually had 16 pieces. Hope
everything goes swimmingly for you as well. Soon No Shame will
rule the goddamn universe!
Best regards,
Shannon McCormick
No Shame Loses its Virginia Virginity Todd Ristau 8:34 pm saturday april 28, 2001
Well, last night's great experiment was pretty successful, I
thought. 8 pieces and a great variety among them. Let's see,
there was a three scene short play, a couple of monologues,
dancing hands, some singing, some guitars--a kooky crazy mix.
Congratulations to everyone who participated--and to the
audience, several of whom I know left the theatre really
inspired to get involved onstage next week--that's the real
measure of success!

I agree! I think we're gonna be okay...it's just a matter
of time before word creeps out and we're turning people away
at the door. I certainly hope to be up on stage in a skit
or two in the coming weeks (or else I'm gonna be the craziest
Stage Manager ever!!). It was one of the most fun evenings I've
had in a while, and it was great to have that nervous, excited
energy up in the air. I haven't felt that around Live Arts since
I started doing work here.
(I'm breaking out the pen and paper for next week! We'll see if
I'm ready on Friday...)
Cheers,
Jessica
