Four Cycle : pt1, Law Abiding Bus Driver
by Drake Iowa

[LIGHTS UP. OLD MAN ENTERS. He carries a curtain or blanket or something. Use your imagination, okay? Okay. So there he is, and then he goes, real deliberate-like:]

OLD MAN

He was in the gravel, next to his pickup truck. The lights were all out and there was nothing to distract him. Gasoline and gravel and rust all smelled horrible. Monstrous. That road looked its worst in the invisible darkness.

[OLD MAN EXITS. LIGHTS QUICKLY FADE TO BLACK. MONSTER ENTERS. LIGHTS UP on MONSTER. He breathes laboriously as he buries his face in his hands. His fist pounds the floor, and he begins to moan, at first so low it's barely audible, but building gradually to a scream. He pounds the floor three times quickly. A moment later, the MONSTER's shriek interrupts three times quickly in imitation of the pounding. After another breath, the interruptions begin to repeat, but this time they become words.]

MONSTER

I - am - a - fuck - fucking - MONSTER! I'ma - I'ma - I'mafuck - I'ma fucking MONSTER! Christ! Jesus Christ! Jesus FUCKING Christ!
