Four Cycle: pt 6a - Barbed and Wired by Drake Iowa

[LIGHTS UP on OLD MAN and ATTORNEY, seated at the table, going over OLD MAN's will.]

ATTORNEY

[reading] ... being of sound mind and body do hereby bequeath to my only daughter, who supported me through my hardest days, my entire holdings in goods and real estate, including my very prosperous farmland, house, and all the gasoline powered machinery I have used to plant, harvest and otherwise tend said land. To my legally married and beloved estranged wife, I hereby bequeath the entirety of my monetary holdings, including the contents of both bank accounts and the John Deere stock. The executor of this will is hereby instructed to release these inheritances to the respective beneficiaries only at such time as that executor may be present in person with both beneficiaries at once. [no longer reading]

Sound good to you, Old Man?

OLD MAN

Sounds perfect. [smirks like an old Iowan man.] I only hope you won't be reading that out again any time too soon.

[ATTORNEY smirks back, a bit uncomfortably. LIGHTS DOWN. End of 6b.]
