A Sonnet

LIGHTS UP
There once was a girl, with whom I did flirt
Myself I was shy, she an extravert
I was cautious at first, didnt want to get hurt
But also weary of being left with my dick in the dirt
From my longings for her, my attention would not avert
These desires - so strong, though my voice - inert
Then from nowhere "I love you" my voice did blurt
And no sooner did she reply so curt
That she too had feelings that could not find words
These cravings no longer did we both desert
We dined at a restaurant beyond the outskirts
Then back to her place for some sensual dessert
I removed her blouse and undershirt
Then carefully did I my Frankfurt insert
But in this domain was I nay an expert
Excited was I and promptly did squirt
She went to the sink to wash off her skirt
Needless to say did this appall and disconcert
Our future together this act would surely subvert
Though I think something else caused her love to divert
At this time I realized just what she preferred
Alas, male that I am, I made her convert
