Gypsy Bird
A song written and performed by Cory Capron, October 24, 2003.

(X2)
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart that I love you
Oh yeah

The Morning light - colors in your hair
The Morning light - colors in your hair
Like a Venus storm in the mountain wind so fair
So fair...

Dancing in the hall like a child at play
Dancing in the hall like a child at play
Though it's pouring outside, you make it feel like a sunny day
Oh yeah

Girl, can't you see what you mean to me?
Oh yeah
Girl...
Girl... so sweet
So sweet...

(X2)
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart that I love you
Oh yeah

Your sad eyes hanging on a pretty smile
Your sad eyes hanging on a pretty smile
Well if they get too heavy, you can on me for a while
For a while...

To spend the night - wrapped inside your wings
To spend the night - wrapped inside your wings
Lord for that I'd trade the key to the Lazarus springs
Oh yeah

Girl, can't you see what you mean to me?
Oh yeah
Girl...
Girl... so sweet
So sweet...

(X1)
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart that I love you
Oh yeah

I haven't heard your voice
In three long weeks
Staring at the wall
Every night I weep
And I don't know why
What makes me act this way?
But please call me girl
Call me up today
Cause when I hear your voice
I get filled with joy
So please sing to me
Sing to your lovesick boy
Your lovesick boy

(X2)
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart
Little gypsy bird, won't-cha tell your heart that I love you
Oh yeah

Girl, can't you see...
What you mean to me?

AUTHOR'S NOTES:
This is the last song I did at No Shame in the old LAB space. That space means a lot to me since the first time I did No Shame there, was the first time I EVER sang in front of an audience. The space was really great for singing and always had a good vibe in the air and walls and everything. I'm really going to miss it.
